Pure Maple Syrup from Canada

Maple Limbu Mirchi Aloo

  • Par boiled baby potatoes 250 gm
  • Chopped spring onions 1 tbsp
  • Red and yellow bell pepper cubes 2 tbsp
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Green chili split 1 each
  • Sliced Garlic 1 tbsp
  • Ajwain seeds 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Pure maple syrup 1 tbsp
  • Chopped fresh coriander leaves 1 tbsp


  • Heat some olive oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, ajwain seeds and split green chillies. As they crackle, add the sliced garlic along with the chopped onions
  • Sauté for a minute, add the potatoes, bell peppers and all the powdered spices
  • Season to taste 
  • Add 1 tbsp of water and cover for 5 minutes until potatoes are completely cooked. Add pure maple syrup lemon juice and fresh coriander leaves
  • Serve hot or cold
