INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of nuts of your choice (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
- 1/3 cup of maple syrup
- Wrapping paper and ribbon (optional)
METHOD
1. With the help of an adult, heat the nuts in a pan on low heat to bring out their flavour and make them crunchy.
2. Remove from heat and add maple syrup. Place back on the stove and mix frequently until the sugar crystallizes and sticks to the nuts.
3. Place the nuts on a non-stick surface to cool.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* You can make pretty gifts by wrapping the nuts in wrapping paper and tying with ribbon.
